Our extensive four hour tour provides an overview of the architecture and history of old and new Bucharest, including brief visits to the Village Museum (outdoors) or the Peasant Museum (indoors), depending on the weather.

A visit to the Palace of Parliament, (the second largest building in the world after the US Pentagon) may also be included, but for security reasons requires an advance reservation of 24 hours Entrance fee is an additional 20 Lei/5 Euros per person.

The exact route of this in-depth tour depends on your pickup location, but will include: • Casa Presei (House of the Press) which dates from Stalin’s reign in Moscow • Bucharest Exhibition Center in the heart of Bucharest’s high rent residential district • Village Museum, Arch of Triumph to Victoria Square and the Grigore Antipa Museum of Natural History • South on Calea Victoriei to Casa Vernescu, an elegant renovated luxury restaurant/Casino • Passing through the “High Fashion” boutique section of Calea Victoriei to White Church • Plata Revolutiei, where Ceaucescu made his farewell speech • Royal Palace (now the Romanian National Museum of Art) • Romanian Athenaeum, Kretulescu church and the House of the Army • Mayoralty and Cismigiu Park to the picturesque shore of the Dambovita River • The Opera House and on to Cotroceni Palace (Residence of the President of the Republic) • Carol Military Academy, Botanical Gardens and Parliament Palace • Return to the City Center on scenic Unirii Boulevard (often compared to the Champs Elysees) • Brief stopover at the Patriachate (Home of the Romanian Orthodox Church, then on to Unirii Square and a return to your hotel.
